Based on several combinations of finishes, types and thickness these have different varieties. These are made using liquid Polythene Terephthalate & are crystallized using heated rollers. These sheets are rolled in various directions. 5 types of sheets are available and 4 types of finishes are available. Different types of Mylar films are Plain, Anti-static, Adhesion treated, Moralized and Barrier coated. This is also the one of the main reason that they are used up to a large extent. This is environmental friendly because it is safe, non – toxic, don’t have plasticizers, and don’t contain heavy metals. These are light weight polymers. So these are replacing very high weighted materials such as metals. The main advantages of this polymer are that these can be recycled. Because of its advantages its application are increasing.
